Are your soaps handmade?

Yes, all of my soaps are handmade! I use the cold process method, which involves
mixing oils and lye at room temperature to create the soap. After that, I pour
the mixture into molds and let it cure for several weeks. This process ensures
each bar is gentle, moisturizing, and long-lasting.

What ingredients do you use in
your soaps?

I make my soaps using a blend of olive
oil, castor oil, shea butter, and coconut oil. These oils are combined with a
lye solution to create soap. In some batches, I substitute wine or beer for
water to add a fun twist! Certain bars are scented with fragrance or essential
oils and may include colorants, dried florals, or natural exfoliants.

Are your soaps vegan or
cruelty-free?

All of our soaps are vegan & cruelty-free—never tested on animals, only on
me, my husband, and a few brave friends!

Do your soaps contain palm oil?

No, my soaps do not contain palm oil. I use a variety of other natural oils to
create a gentle and nourishing bar of soap without the use of palm.

Are your soaps safe for
sensitive skin?

Yes! All of my soaps are safe for
sensitive skin.

Do your soaps contain synthetic
fragrances or dyes?

Some of our soaps are scented with
essential oils, while others use high-quality fragrance oils. I only use
fragrance oils that are skin-safe and free from phthalates and other harmful
ingredients. They’re specially formulated for use in bath and body products and
are thoroughly tested for safety.

The main difference between
essential oils and fragrance oils is that essential oils are derived directly
from plants, while fragrance oils are either synthetic or a blend of natural
and synthetic components. Fragrance oils allow for a wider variety of scents
that aren’t available in essential oils alone.

As for color, I only use
all-natural colorants like clays, spices, and botanicals, and eco-friendly
micas.

Do you ship internationally?

Not at the moment.

What if my soap arrives
damaged? 

At April Showers Soap Co., we want
you to love our products. If you receive a damaged item, email us via our
Contact page with your order number and details within 14 days of your
purchase. Refunds will be processed within 5-7 business days

How should I store my soap?

Store unused soap in a cool, dry
area, away from direct sunlight. For used soap, I recommend using a soap dish.

Why does my soap look slightly
different from the photo?

Because each bar of soap from
April Showers Soap Co. is handmade in small batches, slight variations in
color, swirl patterns, or shape are totally normal and part of the charm!
